Welcome to the Rosedale State School website that we believe will give you an informed insight into what happens for students at our school.
Rosedale State School is a Preschool to Year 12 Campus. Our present enrolment of 275 is drawn from Rosedale and surrounding communities including Winfield, Yandaran, Lowmead, Avondale, Wartburg and Agnes Water.
As you explore our website you will see that Rosedale State School offers a broad and innovative curriculum that is focused on meeting the diverse needs of students in our modern and increasingly complex society. We offer a curriculum that is suited to the needs of our community, sporting and cultural opportunities with a strong focus on the well being of each individual.
Our school is a multi-age stage based school allowing students to progress at their own rate ensuring that they are positively challenged and offered rigorous learning opportunities. Our Junior School (P-5) learning phase focuses on early childhood and development whilst our Middle Phase of Learning (6-9) caters for meaningful engagement, building relationships and achievement of outcomes for young adolescents. Our Senior Phase of Learning (10-12) ensures our students are able to access a broad curriculum with multiple pathways. While we have a strong academic focus for those choosing to follow a Tertiary Education Pathway, we also offer a strong alternative Vocational Pathway for those seeking traineeships, apprenticeships and employment.
Members of our school community have access to technology facilities, a Resource Centre, Student Services Centre and family, student and staff well-being services including a School Chaplain and Guidance Officer.
Our students are able to participate in leadership, enrichment and service opportunities through a Student Representative Council, School Cadets, Opti-Minds and fundraising for community organisations.
An active P&C Association operates across our campus with meetings held at 3pm on the second Tuesday of each month. All parents/caregivers are welcome to attend and to take an interest in our school.
Our success is largely due to our caring, committed and enthusiastic staff who work to develop a genuine learning culture in partnership with students and parents and who work to prepare our students today for life tomorrow.
